We are searching for an experienced Corporate Real Estate consultant with a particular strength and expertise in CRE and FM organisational design and operating model reviews, transformation and FM consulting advice. A versatile individual with a broad experience of working on large impactful consulting projects to help clients align and optimise their CRE & FM internal operating models, processes and real estate portfolios to better align with their business objectives, strategic goals and improve performance and efficiencies.

The role will involve working with senior client executives and JLL colleagues to deliver projects. Knowledge of the Corporate Real Estate lifecycle and the respective functional areas is essential. In addition, the role will involve supporting the broader UK Consulting practice capabilities, management and initiatives across UK and EMEA (where required).

You may be asked to participate in projects using data from diverse sources to solve complex problems, whilst using experience and industry know-how to make connections across the data and bring insights. You will be required to propose ideas and concepts which advance the organization, resulting in new solutions, whilst also fostering an environment where diverse and inclusive thinking is embraced within the project team.

In most projects, stakeholder engagement, strategy development and report/recommendation will form part of your role to enhance the quality of advice to our client’s business. The successful candidate will be expected to provide innovative solutions to a broad range of clients and will ideally have experience in change, as well as one or two of the following practice areas:

  • AI Adoption

Our consultants work with clients to develop and execute strategies that transform and optimise their CRE Organisations and real estate portfolios to create value, reduce costs, improve efficiencies and reduce risk. Whether an organisation is expanding or contracting, our advice will always focus on enhancing productivity and employee engagement in measurable ways.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

  • Manage and deliver consulting advice and projects.
  • Manage 1 to 3 projects at a time across geographies, UK, European wide, and globally (where required) – managing delivery teams to ensure best practice and full compliance with client’s internal procedures.
  • Work with JLL and client contacts to collect data and help make recommendations.
  • Undertake analysis to generate business case reports including financial analysis – both qualitative and quantitative assessment.
  • Ensuring a chargeability target of no less than 70% is achieved.

Business Development Support:

  • Support Business Development activities through client engagement, relationship building and proposal writing.
  • Manage and deliver projects in a manner that generates repeat effort or downstream opportunities.
  • Leverage the spectrum of services provided by the broader JLL occupier team and business streams.

Practice/People Management:

  • Team player and people management expertise when managing project resources.
  • Able to delegate resources efficiently to get things done, accurately scope out at length and difficulty of tasks and measure performance against goals.
  • Highly diplomatic with gravitas and an ability to relate well to professionals at all levels internally and externally.
  • High energy to set direction and help the team pursue goals with drive and high personal impact.
  • Support management and growth of the consulting practice and commercial performance; through taking responsibility for the financial management of projects, resourcing requirements, recognising business opportunities, putting together bids to win new business, negotiating, and agreeing contracts.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in organisational design methodologies - preferred but not essential.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills and the ability to programme manage various projects at the same time.
  • Strong change and project management skills, able to manage resources, budgets and successfully deliver projects to key milestones set by client.
  • Seeks out and understands the needs, perspectives and motivations of our clients and colleagues.
  • Financial management and analysis experience.
  • Innovation - think outside the box to come up with bright ideas to help solve client’s problems.
  • Ability to take a task and run with it - knowing when to ask questions and raise issues at the appropriate time plus involve others.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and industry knowledge development.
  • Demonstrates inclusive leadership behaviours and/or advocacy for Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging.
  • Strong abilities with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT).

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Organisational development or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Corporate Real Estate, Management Consulting, or Organisational Design gained at a real estate consultancy, or perhaps with a Management Consultancy or niche practice or working within an in-house CRE organisation.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities with ability to translate complex data and information into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of corporate real estate functions, other corporate support functions and industry trends.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, client facing.
  • Strong interpersonal and team leadership abilities to build client trust and confidence and manage and adapt responses and advice to meet client needs.
  • Experience leading change and transformation initiatives.

This is a hybrid role on a fixed-term contract for 1 year.
