Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or experience in a professional field or military.
- Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
- Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
- Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients.
- Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals.

As a Solutions Architect in the Industry & Solutions Center of Excellence, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon’s utility computing web services across the partner community working backwards from customers and regulatory bodies. Your broad responsibilities will include owning the technical engagement with strategic partners, working backwards from customer business challenges, and defining partner technical enablement strategies.
The ideal candidate will possess bridge building technical skills in software architecture and cloud computing with customer facing skills interfacing with developers to the C-suite with the ability to Earn Trust. The ideal candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Provide the architectural guidance and recommendations related to Compliance in Financial Services at a local and global level.
- Assist solution providers with the definition of technical strategies and thought leadership to share solutions with customers.
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge with our broader Solution Architecture community.
- Collaborate with Industry aligned organizations across AWS, and Amazon entities.
- Share customer feedback to internal product management and engineering teams to help drive the future of AWS.
- Represent AWS on Industry Regulatory and Standards Bodies.

About the Team:
The Industry & Solutions Centre of Excellence has a worldwide remit to build once, and repeatedly scale solutions with Partners. Partners help customers solve their line of business problems in the cloud and are critical to the AWS Financial Services Industry. Earning trust with Partners across the technology and service integrator domain will rely on the knowledge of Compliance related architectures and newly introduced and upcoming regulatory frameworks, working ahead of customers’ need for Compliance to suggest ways in which Partners can deliver what Financial Services customers do and will need in their countries and regions of operation.
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of cloud architecture.
- Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking.
- Experience working with end user or developer communities.
