The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

We are recruiting an experienced Pensions Implementation Technician with a proven track record of using technology and strong knowledge of data extraction, manipulation, and transformation to help clients resolve challenges with their pensions data. The successful candidate will have experience in working with various pensions administration platforms and transferring member data from those platforms, excellent knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and Excel. They will be able to assess the difficulties that a client's data will present, then design and implement software tools and accompanying processes to resolve those challenges in a clearly documented and risk-managed way.

We are looking for a self-starter with plenty of energy who works and communicates well with the team. In addition to your own tasks, you will be expected to take responsibility for reviewing the programming work of others to ensure technical accuracy. Experience in the technology aspects of pension correction and rectification exercises, and data audits would be advantageous as well as hands-on experience in the software development cycle.

This role can be based out of our London, Reigate, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds or Edinburgh office working hybrid.

Project & Data Solutions delivers the right, cost-effective strategies and solutions for the following:

  • Guaranteed Minimum Pension (GMP) projects
  • Auditing data, benefits and calculations
  • Bulk data rectification and benefit (re-)construction
  • Data cleansing and improving electronic data
  • Supervising the data workstreams for de-risking projects so data is an enabler rather than a barrier.

The Requirements

  • Practical experience of a range of DB pension administration platforms, with an understanding of their structures and the difficulties of manipulating the member data
  • Excellent SQL skills and understanding of relational databases, including best practices in their use
  • Strong Excel skills
  • An ability to review and propose solutions to challenges with pension data, including leading software development teams
  • An ability to deliver multiple projects concurrently
  • Used to working in a fast-paced commercial environment where delivery to deadlines, budget and scope management are important
  • A clear, concise and skilled communicator of complex technology issues to a broad audience - good at maintaining project documentation and audit trails
  • Ability to work both as solo and in teams and enjoys a fast-paced environment
  • An ability to foster and support the delivery of projects within a team environment
  • Inquisitive, self-starter attitude and ability to work using own initiative
