About the Role:

As a Residential Therapeutic Care Worker, you'll be part of a compassionate and supportive team, working closely to provide high-quality care to children in a residential setting. Every day is varied, offering you the chance to engage with children and help meet their individual needs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing personal care and support within a homely environment.
  • Assisting with day-to-day tasks such as cooking, cleaning, homework, and driving children to school.
  • Managing medication and accompanying children to health appointments.
  • Collaborating with the wider team to update care plans, conduct risk assessments, and complete thorough handovers.
  • Planning and delivering activities and events tailored to each child's interests, whether it's a birthday celebration or an exciting day out.

Our client understands that children can sometimes become emotionally dysregulated, and you'll be provided with all the necessary training, including Team Teach behaviour management and de-escalation techniques. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to complete a Level 4 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce, alongside in-house therapeutic training from the clinical team.

What's in It for You:

  • Annual performance-related bonus, based on achieving positive outcomes for the children.
  • Full therapeutic training and a comprehensive induction programme.
  • Opportunities to gain qualifications, including Level 4 & 5 Residential Care Diplomas.
  • A wide-ranging wellbeing package to support your health and work-life balance.
  • 23 days of annual leave (increasing with service) plus flexible bank holidays.
  • Private medical and dental cashback scheme.
  • Access to Westfield Rewards for high street discounts and Blue Light Discount scheme.
  • Life insurance (4x salary), workplace pension, and a Cycle to Work Scheme.
  • Pastoral support and regular supervision sessions to reflect on your experiences.
  • Excellent opportunities for career progression within an expanding organisation.
  • Referral bonuses.

About You:

Our client is looking for individuals with a genuine passion for working with children and young people. You should have a caring and flexible approach, with the ability to work as part of a team. Previous experience in residential care is a bonus, but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Please note, for the Team Leader roles it is a requirement to have a Level 3/4 qualification in Residential children's care or equivalent.
