We are partnering with a pan-European, PE-backed business to appoint an M&A Director. Within this role, you will drive deal origination and execution and lead the acquisitive growth strategy for our client. This is a unique opportunity to own the M&A agenda in a business where acquisitions are central to value creation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Originate and execute bolt-on and strategic acquisitions across Europe
- Lead deals from valuation and diligence through to closing and integration
- Work closely with internal deal teams to identify, prioritise, and deliver on high-impact opportunities
- Interact with senior leadership on strategy, pipeline management, and value creation
- Typical deal size: £10–15m EBITDA, with occasional £100m+ platform deals
What We’re Looking For
- Director-level experience in PE backed businesses, with a background in investment banking, or corporate M&A
- Sector experience in industrial, distribution, or business services is advantageous
- A track record of signing and closing deals with full ownership of the process
- Ability to originate, structure, and lead transactions independently
- Strong commercial judgement, not just technical M&A skills
- Self-starter who thrives in fast-moving, lean teams
