This role is based on-site in the UAE and will require relocation. ALEC will be holding interviews in the UK week commencing 30th June.

About Your Team

Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, you’ll lead a team of Commissioning Foremen and collaborate with design engineers, QA/QC teams, and OEM representatives to achieve project success.

Your Role

As a Senior Commissioning Engineer, you will:

• Prepare commissioning strategies, plans, and test scripts aligned with project specifications and codes.
• Conduct inspections, pre-functional checks, and functional performance tests for mechanical, electrical, BMS, and specialist systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in collaboration with design and OEM teams.
• Coordinate equipment delivery, installation, and start-up to meet project schedules.
• Compile and submit commissioning documentation, including test reports and punch lists, for client and consultant review.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians, promoting best practices and technical excellence.

This is a full-time role requiring attention to detail, coordination, and a proactive approach to commissioning activities.

What We’re Looking For

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in MEP commissioning and testing processes.
• Proven expertise in functional performance testing and troubleshooting.

Knowledge

• Working knowledge of MEP systems, commissioning methods, and regional codes.
• Ability to read technical drawings and develop test procedures.

Skills

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management tools (Primavera/MS Project preferred).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering disciplines.
