We now seek an Electrical Installer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role

As an Electrical Installer, you will manage, install, and maintain temporary electrical systems and services across a number of construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project requirements. In addition, you will provide support in ensuring Walter Lilly is in full compliance with current electrical installation and testing regulations and will be expected to uphold Walter Lilly's high standards of work at all times.

The requirements of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Installing temporary electrical systems for site operations (e.g., lighting, power distribution, welfare facilities).
  • Conducting regular inspections and testing of electrical installations in accordance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical faults promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Ensuring all temporary electrics comply with health and safety legislation, including HSE guidelines and CDM regulations.
  • Liaising with the Site Services Supervisor, site management, and subcontractors to co-ordinate electrical needs.
  • Maintaining accurate records of installations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
  • Supervise or co-ordinate with electricians and electrical subcontractors on-site.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will:

  • Have an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
  • Hold an ECS Gold Card or JIB-approved electrician status.
  • Hold 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) certification.
  • Have experience in temporary site electrics (construction, events, or infrastructure projects).
  • Have knowledge of site safety procedures and risk assessments.
  • A full UK driving licence.
