The Opportunity
This is more than just a client-facing role. You’ll take over the day-to-day running of a well-established firm with a superb local reputation, and the chance to acquire up to 20% equity. The firm is part of a wider group with ambitious plans for future acquisitions and growth, meaning your equity stake could grow significantly in value over time. You’ll become Managing Director, responsible for both advising clients and leading the business strategically. Back-office and compliance support are fully provided through the firm’s wider network, freeing you to focus on growth and client service.
What We’re Looking For
- Chartered or close to Chartered status.
- Fully authorised (CAS/SPS) with proven experience in delivering high-quality financial advice.
- A passion for building long-term relationships and growing a client-centric business.
- Experience managing a client book and ideally running an IFA firm.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to generate new business through referrals, acquisitions, or your existing relationships.
- The ability to bring an existing client book would be a strong advantage (subject to contractual restrictions).
- Available to start immediately or within 1–2 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Managing Director, responsible for advice, operations, and strategic decision-making.
- Deliver expert financial advice across pensions and wealth planning.
- Lead operational functions: budgeting, support staff oversight, marketing, and compliance (with group support).
- Conduct regular business reviews and report to shareholders.
