This M&E Design and Build Contractor delivers projects within the Rail, Highways, Power Generation, Airports and Water Industries. As a result of growth, they are seeking a Head of Electrical Engineering. The Head of Electrical Engineering will lead, manage, and develop all aspects of the company’s Electrical Engineering capability. This will include the further development of an Electrical Project Engineering team and design function that will provide support for construction, operations and maintenance teams across multiple industry sectors.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to make the next step in their career or a seasoned "Head of", "Lead Engineer", "CRE" or "Engineering Manager". The successful candidate will have experience of working on Infrastructure Projects in sectors such as Railways, Airports, Highways, Power Generation or Water. They will have extensive experience of low and high voltage electrical design (up to 33kV level) in line with all current standards.

They will be able to demonstrate experience in designing systems such as:

  • Lighting
  • LV distribution
  • CMS - sizing and layout
  • Earthing and bonding
  • UPS
  • Switchboards/LVAC
  • VSDs
  • Control systems (including DCS, PLC, SCADA and BMS)

They will also be familiar with HAZID, HAZOP and HAZCON. This is a key management role requiring the person to lead, manage and mentor the organisation's Electrical Engineering team. This means team management experience is essential.
