Our MSP client are looking for an experienced Information Security Engineer to join their team based in London for an initial 6 month Fixed Term Contract.

You will be responsible for:

  • Participating in the ISG weekly meetings, contributing to discussions on our clients security posture and giving progress updates on security projects.
  • Triaging questions for their Security functions, being the primary security contact within the team.
  • Actively teaching and supporting team members.
  • Promoting security awareness across the whole company and safeguarding it from potential risks.
  • Ensuring documentation and knowledge resources are current, accurate, and accessible.
  • Responsible for the continuous daily monitoring of systems and networks for suspicious activity and potential threats and understanding processes to mitigate and act on them.
  • Developing and documenting disaster recovery processes where required.
  • Identifying, assessing, and prioritising vulnerabilities to reduce potential attack surfaces.
  • Assuming the role of Incident Response Manager where required, quickly responding to and managing security incidents to mitigate damage and restore normal operations.
  • Leading any necessary debriefs and lessons learnt discussions.

It is expected that you will have at least 5 years experience working as an Information Security Engineer within a dynamic fast moving environment. In addition, you will have sound knowledge and experience of the following:

  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with security tools and platforms, such as CrowdStrike, Zscaler, Island, Duo, Abnormal, and Tessian.
  • Proven experience in designing disaster recovery processes.
  • Knowledgeable in SecOps practices.
  • Proven background managing the full lifecycle of security projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of audit processes and compliance standards such as CE+ and ISO27001.
  • Ability to evaluate, test, implement, and manage security solutions.

This role is a hybrid role - 1/2 days in the office per week. Due to the volume of applicants we can only respond to candidates matching the above criteria.
