Responsibilities
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, ensuring quality, compliance, and cost-efficiency
- Lead and inspire the repairs and maintenance team, fostering collaboration and accountability
- Focus on delivering resident-focused services, using feedback to drive improvement
- Ensure adherence to UK housing regulations and health and safety standards
- Oversee budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources
- Build strong relationships with contractors, staff, and residents to enhance service delivery
Skills and Qualifications RequiredEssential:
- Extensive experience in a senior maintenance role, ideally within housing
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and health and safety legislation
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage budgets effectively
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
- Proficiency in data-driven decision-making
Desirable:
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CIOB, RICS)
- Experience in social housing or housing associations
- Familiarity with property management systems and IT tools
