Example Recruitment Group is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading national heating contractor, working within the local authority sector. They are seeking experienced, self‐employed heating engineers to join an ongoing service and repair contract with a local Housing Association in Hertfordshire.

The Role

Carry out Landlord Gas Safety Checks and central heating repairs (all parts supplied).

Work within a small local radius.

Minimum commitment of 3 days per week (Monday-Friday).

Pre‐booked appointments managed via the client\’s PDA system.

Full PPE and kit provided.

Long‐term, ongoing contract.

Rates & Payment

£250/day (8 am – 5 pm).

Optional Call‐Out: 1 week in 4

£550/week or

£50 per weeknight, £150 per weekend day.

Payment Terms: Weekly, 1 week in arrears.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years\’ experience as a qualified heating engineer.

Current ACS qualifications, including CKR1 & HTR1.

Own van and tools.

Calibrated Flue Gas Analyser.

£2m Public Liability Insurance.

Valid DBS check (dated within 12 months).
