In2 Consult is proud to be partnered with a rapidly expanding SME business that is looking to hire a commercially-minded Finance Manager to join them during an exciting phase of growth and transformation. This is a newly created role, giving the successful candidate the chance to make a real impact, shape financial processes, and play a strategic part in the company’s journey.
The Role:
- As Finance Manager, you’ll report directly to the Finance Director and take full ownership of financial reporting, FP&A, and business partnering.
- This is a hands-on and varied role, offering the opportunity to build out scalable financial processes while providing the strategic insight that supports growth and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Produce statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP / IFRS and liaise with external auditors.
- Own budgeting and forecasting cycles, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Deliver commercial insights and financial modelling to support strategic decisions.
- Partner with key stakeholders across sales, operations, and leadership to drive performance.
- Build and develop internal controls, policies, and reporting improvements.
- Support working capital and cash flow management.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis for new projects, investments, and market opportunities.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong experience in both statutory reporting and commercial finance / FP&A.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving SME environment.
- Hands-on approach with a willingness to get involved in operational finance as needed.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capability.
- Systems-savvy – able to streamline and enhance reporting tools (Excel, ERP, BI tools).
