Procurement Operations Lead
About The Role:
Join our UK procurement team as the hands-on Procurement Operations Lead, where you will play a pivotal role in managing highly strategic vendor relationships, optimizing operational efficiencies, and supporting our growing UK presence.
We are looking for a highly skilled, hands-on operations leader who can not only run day-to-day procurement operations but also drive Supply Chain transformation across processes, systems, and vendor management. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is deeply analytical, proactive, and comfortable managing complex cross-functional initiatives. You will be expected to identify problems, document and articulate them clearly, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver actionable solutions that improve operational efficiency and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Operations
- Own and lead day-to-day procurement operations, including direct ownership of highly strategic vendors, ensuring seamless coordination between suppliers, internal teams, and supply chain partners.
- Manage the full Purchase Order lifecycle, including PO creation, tracking, consolidation, and optimization for cost-effective shipping.
- Monitor order progress and proactively address risks to timelines, cost, or service levels.
- Build strong relationships with vendors.
- Track vendor performance and requirement adherence.
- Communicate specifications, timelines, and logistics expectations to vendors.
Logistics
- Manage vendor documentation and ensure compliance with pickup, import/export, and customs requirements.
- Partner with the internal logistics team and courier partners to support smooth product pickups.
Transformation & Process Improvement
- Design, implement, and refine procurement workflows, tools, and operating models to support scale.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to reduce inefficiencies, improve visibility, and optimize cost.
- Identify and execute opportunities for operational and financial improvements across procurement and supply chain activities.
Cross-functional Support
- Coordinate with UK sales teams, finance and warehouse teams to align procurement timelines.
- Support cross-functional initiatives by providing data-driven insights and operational expertise.
Requirements
- Experience: 4–6 years in procurement, vendor management, or supply chain operations, with proven experience leading operational improvements.
- Data & Systems: Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel (SQL or BI tools is a plus) and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to set expectations with executives and lead cross-functional discussions.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to evaluate complex problems, balance trade-offs, and develop structured, strategic recommendations.
- Proactivity & Autonomy: Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, takes initiative, and operates with minimal supervision.
- Leadership: Experience not just running a function but transforming processes and enabling long-term scalability.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in design, luxury goods, or textiles is preferred, but not required
