We're seeking a highly experienced Storage & Backup Specialist for a contract role supporting enterprise infrastructure projects. You'll be responsible for design, implementation, and support of Dell PowerMax, HP 3PAR, and associated backup solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Dell PowerMax (2000/8000) and HP 3PAR storage solutions
- Deliver backup design using HP StoreOnce and Veritas NetBackup
- Manage SAN fabrics, switches, and enterprise storage systems (Nimble, NetApp)
- Perform fault resolution across HA environments
- Create build/configuration documentation
- Provide technical input to infrastructure provisioning and review of Dell solutions
- Write shell scripts for automation
- Collaborate with project teams to meet storage and backup requirements
- Troubleshoot technical issues and support disaster recovery processes
- Advise stakeholders and guide implementation teams
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Expertise in Dell PowerMax, HP 3PAR, Veritas NetBackup, and SAN infrastructure
- Red Hat Linux and Windows OS administration
- Scripting experience (e.g., Bash/Shell)
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and topologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable:
- TOGAF knowledge (certification a plus)
- Strong stakeholder and team leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Experience in ITIL-based environments and real-time systems
Note: Candidates must be eligible for SC security clearance and pass background checks.
