Role Purpose:
The primary purpose of a Change & Release Management Specialist is to oversee and coordinate the planning, approval, implementation, and documentation of changes and releases within an IT environment. This includes ensuring that changes to infrastructure, software, or systems are executed with minimal risk and maximum effectiveness, adhering to organizational policies, industry standards, and best practices. They work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the release of new versions or updates is smooth, thoroughly tested, and well-documented.
What to expect:
- Carries out the subject matter expert responsibilities for a designated client(s).
- Integrate change management activities into project plan to meet project deadlines.
- Analyse, assess, prioritise, and categorise change requests.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee the release of new software, features, or updates.
- Collaborate with development, testing, operations, and other teams to ensure releases meet quality standards.
- Manage the deployment process to ensure releases are rolled out without disruption or service downtime.
- Chair CAB & E-CAB and ensures that all preparations are duly performed.
- Identify change requests that have not been acted upon in a timely manner and takes appropriate action.
- Reviews all implemented changes to ensure that they have been carried out and closed in time.
- Regular interactions with SDM through service quality reviews.
- Active participation & engagement from the initial stage of improvement projects through its successful implementation.
