Base salary of £40,000 per annum plus chance for on-call and overtime taking you up to approx. £65,000 per annum.
Core hours are 39 hours Monday to Friday. Working in and around Portsmouth, Hampshire.
Working for a Global Water Technology Company we are seeking an Electrical Installation Engineer to join their rental team based out of their Portsmouth facility to carry out installation of rental focussed equipment with focus around Sussex and Hampshire regions.
The Electrical Installation Engineer will be responsible for install, commission, service & repair of 3 phase pumps, motors & associated control equipment, including but not limited to VFD & Soft start drives.
The role covers Monday to Friday 39 hours per week as well as being part of an on-call rota.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Rental Team with temporary installation, repair and refurbishment of submersible and surface mounted pumping equipment, sewage systems & treatment plants.
- As part of a team and lone working supporting a reactive type of work that requires the successful candidate to be quick thinking, and adaptable.
- Isolate, dismantle and inspect pumping equipment.
- Install and commission temporary Rental equipment and all associated apparatus.
- Working in an outdoor environment in different weather conditions daily.
- Work in a confined space environment.
- Driving a company vehicle to the standard required.
- To undertake additional duties as required, commensurate with the level of the job.
Standard hours of work are 39 per week however a totally flexible working attitude is necessary to meet the client and business needs. In addition, evening & weekend on-call duties will be necessary on a rotating basis.
Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
- City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 or industry equivalent.
- City & Guilds 2382 18th.
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing.
- Time served apprenticeship.
- ECS/ JIB Gold Skills Card Holder.
- Good knowledge of pumps/motors & 3 phase electrical systems.
- Previous experience working with Generators desirable.
- Full driving licence.
