The Role

This newly created standalone HR leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the people and culture strategy in a dynamic SME environment. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and Board, you’ll lead HR operations and drive people initiatives that support growth, performance, and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of people strategy aligned to business objectives
  • Provide expert HR guidance to managers on employment law and people matters
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, talent development, and succession planning
  • Develop and implement performance management, L&D, and reward frameworks
  • Manage employee relations, change initiatives, and compliance policies
  • Maintain HR systems and generate people metrics and reports
  • Partner with senior leadership to build a progressive, inclusive workplace culture

Who You Are

  • Proven HR generalist with experience in standalone or SME roles
  • CIPD Level 7 qualified (or equivalent experience)
  • In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Experienced in driving change, building people processes, and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and people-focused
