Commercial Property Legal Assistant
- Salary: £25,000- £30,000 (dependant on experience- negotiable)
- Location: Canterbury or Margate

We are currently seeking a Commercial Property Legal Assistant to join a dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to support their busy Commercial Property department.

Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage all tasks assigned by the Principal or Line Manager in accordance with the firm’s Office Manual, procedures, and quality standards.
- Represent the Principal in interactions with clients and professionals, providing support in a professional, courteous, and client-focused manner.
- Ensure full compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s Code of Conduct.
- Demonstrate the ability to handle a broad and complex workload with initiative and minimal supervision, within defined parameters.
- Exhibit a fee earner-level understanding and undertake fee earning duties where appropriate.
- Consistently deliver high standards of client care, addressing any complaints promptly and professionally.
- Respond to routine client enquiries and communications efficiently and effectively.
- Foster positive working relationships within the firm and with external stakeholders.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and professional communication with colleagues across the firm.
- Prepare correspondence and legal documents using word processing and case management systems.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to support the team and firm.
- Participate in training and development activities as needed, taking responsibility for personal growth and learning.
- Always ensure the confidentiality and security of all firm and client documentation and information.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, ideally within commercial property.
- Demonstrates excellent communication abilities and effective teamwork, with a professional and approachable manner when engaging with clients and colleagues.
- Plans and prioritises workload efficiently, managing time effectively while remaining adaptable to the changing needs of the organisation.
- Exercises sound judgement and initiative in daily tasks, escalating issues appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Shows potential to contribute to the growth of the business and support the development of others over time.
