Senior Healthcare assistant

Location: Rickmansworth – Residential Care Home (Elderly & Physical Disabilities)Pay Rates:

• NVQ Level 2 – £14.53

• NVQ Level 3 – £16.07

• NVQ Level 4 – £16.41Hours: Full-time days, up to 48 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support care delivery during day shifts

• Assist residents with personal care, mobility, and daily living activities

• Administer medication (NVQ Level 3 requirement) safely and accurately

• Maintain and update care plans and records

• Supervise and guide junior care staff

• Communicate with healthcare professionals and families

• Promote residents' wellbeing and independence

• Ensure a safe and hygienic environment

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 minimum; Level 3 or 4 preferred for senior role

• Medication training (Level 3 standard) essential

• Experience in elderly and physical disability care settings

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Understanding of safeguarding and health & safety

• Availability for full-time day shifts
