?? The Role: As Senior Practitioner, you will lead on court work and group work initiatives, while managing a small, complex post-court caseload. You will supervise a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality assessments and interventions, ensuring the voices of young people are central to planning and decision-making.You will also contribute to the delivery of the Youth Justice Strategic Priorities over the next three years, including:
- Child First approaches across service delivery.
- Expansion of Restorative Justice.
- Strengthening the Youth Justice Health Offer (EMH, SLT, substance misuse).
- Tackling disproportionality in outcomes.
- Improving outcomes for Children in Care/SEND.
- Reducing Serious Youth Violence, particularly robbery and knife crime.
- Broadening Prevention and Diversion work with young people and families.
? About You: We are looking for a passionate and resilient professional with:
- A social work, probation, youth work or criminal justice qualification (e.g., DipSW, BA/MA Social Work, Youth Justice qualification).
- Current registration with Social Work England (if applicable).
- Experience in youth justice, ideally with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
- Deep understanding of youth justice and children’s legislation.
- Strong partnership working and communication skills.
- A commitment to restorative practice, evidence-based intervention, and positive outcomes for children, families, and communities.
