We are currently recruiting for a Technical Specialist to join a leading specialist company, with decades of success in their specialised field.
With a solid structure in place there are clear progressions routes into the next role at any level you join. This really is a great opportunity for an experienced to showcase their mechanical engineering skills, particularly with hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
How you will contribute:
- As a Technical Specialist, you’ll leverage your technical expertise to resolve a variety of customer queries, translating their concerns into effective troubleshooting strategies, including providing demonstrations, and presentations, to clients and customers.
- This role requires hands-on experience with components and systems, and full training and support will be given.
- Acting as the point of escalation to resolve installation and/or service enquiries, you’ll know the right questions to ask in order to reach a conclusive diagnosis.
- Competent with electrical schematics and problem solving in a fast paced-environment.
- Building strong relationships and trust with customers through excellent communication.
- Customer service centric – upholding the most professional, personable demeanour throughout to deliver service excellence.
- Assist in the design, testing and integration of systems.
- Ensure system reliability.
- Conduct root cause analysis for system failures and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- You are technically astute, with a strong ability to diagnose and resolve issues.

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or similar (non-essential)
- Strong commercial experience within a technical specialist field, particularly with hydraulics and/or pneumatics.
- Strong knowledge of components, systems, principles.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and technical drawings.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
