As an Assistant Director, youโ€™ll be responsible for managing project delivery, building strong client relationships, and supporting both internal and external growth initiatives. Youโ€™ll bring solid experience in corporate finance โ€” on both buy-side and sell-side โ€” and will have worked with private and public companies, owner-managed businesses, and private equity clients.

You will also be supported in developing specialist sector knowledge and leadership skills.

What Youโ€™ll Do:

  • Manage client engagements from start to finish โ€” define project scope, allocate resources, monitor budgets and timelines, and review deliverables.
  • Lead the creation and review of key documents, including reports, financial models (Excel), and information memoranda (Word/PowerPoint).
  • Oversee project teams, due diligence processes, and stakeholder communications.
  • Assist Partners and Directors in refining service methodologies and offerings.
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including pitching and proposal writing.
  • Foster knowledge sharing, encourage innovation, and support internal training.
  • Build and maintain trusted client relationships โ€” often acting as the main point of contact.
  • Play a key role in identifying new opportunities and converting them into client engagements.
  • Represent the firm at marketing and networking events; champion our full range of services.
  • Contribute to recruitment, training, and staff development within the Corporate Finance team.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, helping them progress toward their career goals.
  • Manage team resourcing, performance reviews, and promotion recommendations.

What Weโ€™re Looking For:

  • Strong experience in both buy-side and sell-side advisory, with a proven track record of closing deals.
  • ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent), or demonstrable relevant experience.
  • Previous experience supervising or managing staff.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office โ€” particularly Word and Excel.
  • (For those working with listed clients) A working knowledge of applicable regulatory frameworks.
  • Sector-specific experience is desirable.
