Job Title: Java Developer (

Location: Glasgow (Onsite, 5 days/week)

Duration: 4 to 6 months

Rate: £400 – £450/day, Inside IR35

Experience: 6+ Years of experience

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer for 6 month contract role based in Glasgow. This is a full onsite position (5 days per week).

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing both legacy and newer front-end screens, alongside backend development and database management.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Java: Strong experience in Java development, including backend services and application logic.
• extJS: Experience working with extJS for maintaining and enhancing older UI screens.
• React: Familiarity with React for developing and maintaining newer UI components.
• Oracle SQL: Solid skills in writing and optimizing SQL queries in Oracle databases.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Java-based backend applications.
• Support and enhance legacy front-end screens built with extJS.
• Develop and maintain newer front-end screens using React.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot Oracle SQL queries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
