Sheridan Maine is looking to recruit an experienced Audit Senior to join a growing team at a highly regarded accountancy firm in Hertfordshire. This role is ideal for a motivated audit professional seeking responsibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients.
You will take ownership of audit assignments from planning through to completion, supervise junior team members, and contribute to high-quality audit delivery across a diverse client portfolio.
Key responsibilities:- Lead audits from planning to completion for a variety of clients.
- Supervise and support junior audit staff.
- Prepare and review audit documentation and ensure compliance with standards.
- Liaise with clients to understand their businesses and address audit issues.
- Deliver clear and concise audit findings and recommendations.
- Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts where required.
- Maintain technical knowledge and stay up to date with audit standards.
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or finalist with strong audit experience.
- In-depth understanding of UK auditing and accounting standards.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise effectively.
