The Role

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in our production team. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will focus on optimising cutting paths, scheduling laser cutting jobs, and ensuring all components are fabricated to meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Programme and nesting of Amada laser cutting machines to fabricate components according to specifications.
• Scheduling of cutting on the laser to enable execution of production plan to meet customer delivery dates.
• Data input of scheduling information into planning systems.
• Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and efficiency

The Person

• Proven experience in nesting laser cutting machinery with nesting experience of Amada lasers.
• Experience of production scheduling
• Good MS office skills
• Confident in communicating with people of all levels.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes is advantageous.
• Proficiency in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
