Are you an experienced CNC Programmer with a knack for optimizing laser cutting processes? Do you have a strong understanding of Amada programming or similar systems and a keen eye for detail in sheet metal fabrication? We are expanding our team and looking for a skilled CNC Programmer to take responsibility for the laser nesting and scheduling of our prefabrication activities. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in our production team. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will focus on optimising cutting paths, scheduling laser cutting jobs, and ensuring all components are fabricated to meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Programme and nesting of Amada laser cutting machines to fabricate components according to specifications.
  • Scheduling of cutting on the laser to enable execution of production plan to meet customer delivery dates.
  • Data input of scheduling information into planning systems.
  • Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and efficiency.

We are an engineering company with 40 years experience in the field of Precision and Production Engineering, supplying a wide range of industries including point of sale components, garden and agricultural products, commercial street furniture, industrial racking, commercial automotive vehicle industry and architectural facades and fascia.

The Person:
  • Proven experience in nesting laser cutting machinery with nesting experience of Amada lasers.
  • Experience of production scheduling.
  • Good MS office skills.
  • Confident in communicating with people of all levels.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
