Talentedge is supporting an ever-growing business based in Accrington in finding a Group Financial Controller to take ownership of their finance function and a direct reporting team of 5. Working for a business that achieved £160m turnover last year, this role is a vital part of the finance team that will assist the Finance Director in achieving all goals set. This role will be full of variety with plenty of challenges to overcome but will be part of a great team (30 in finance in total) and part of a growing business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the full month end process
- Manage the team to perform their tasks for month end and drive efficiencies
- Prepare, challenge and consolidate financial numbers
- Prepare reports to go to group
- Review Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Work closely with the Commercial Team, ensuring the process for new business wins will work financially
- Work closely with the Business Change team to get their bespoke, in-house built Ops Portal performing the financial tasks required
- Get involved in a variety of projects involving multiple departments
- Take the lead with the financial audit
- Responsible for ensuring the preparation of budgets and monthly forecasts are made alongside a presentation to prepare for annual budgets
- Assist in completing the transition to a new ERP system - SAP
Benefits & package:
- Salary: £60,000 - £80,000
