Job Title: Yard Operative

Hours: Monday – Friday / 8am to 5pm – 1 hour lunch

Contract Type: Temporary 3-4 months

Pay: £13.35 per hour

Our Client is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Yard Operative to join their team in Chesham!

This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in keeping things organised and values delivering excellent service to customers.

As a Yard Operative you will be responsible for piking and preparing orders, maintain a clean and efficient yard an ensuring all operations are carried out safetly.

Responsibilities:

• Order picking & Loading: Accurately pick stock from order notes and load customer vehicles, using a manual handling techniques and forklifts
• Forklift Counterbalance license
• Customer service: Provide helpful and courteous assistance to customers, ensuring a positive experience
• Stock management – receive and unload deliveries, organise inventory In the yard and maintain correct stock rotation
• Communication skills
• Yard Operative – working outdoors
• Picking and packing orders
• Maintaining a clean and organised yard
• Lifting up to 50kg – shared
• Unloading deliveries

Requirements:

• Forklift counterbalance license
• Good timekeeping
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain a tidy workspace
• Willingness to learn and follow safety guidelines
• Previous experience in a warehouse or yard environment
• Excellent communication skills
