My client is seeking a Service & Assembly Technician to join their dynamic team. They are a specialist UK engineering company developing cutting-edge tools for hazardous material handling. Our systems are used by leading organisations across defence, emergency response, civil nuclear, and energy sectors. Service & Assembly Technician – Responsibilities

• Assist in the assembly and integration of mechanical/electrical systems
• Carry out routine servicing, inspection, and minor repairs on returned equipment
• Support system testing, quality checks, and documentation
• Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and work areas
• Learn and apply machining, fitting, and diagnostic techniques
• Work closely with engineers and service staff to support ongoing projects

Service & Assembly Technician – Experience

• Hands-on experience in a mechanical or technical role (e.g., fitter, technician, apprentice-trained role)
• A relevant qualification (e.g., HNC/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or successful completion of an engineering apprenticeship)
• A practical, problem-solving mindset and a strong desire to learn
• Familiarity with hand tools, basic assembly methods, and technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
• Comfortable working in a small, close-knit technical team
