TLP Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a highly respected and well-established logistics company based in Portsmouth, currently seeking a Logistics Operator to join their professional and fast-paced team.
The Offer:
- Salary: £26,208 - £27,157 per annum (DOE)
- Holidays: 27 days + 8 bank holidays

What you'll be doing:
You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and accurate clearance of goods through UK ports. Key responsibilities include:
- Processing customs clearances and completing manifests for sea and road cargo in line with UK/EU regulations.
- Handling IPAFFS applications and classifying goods correctly.
- Calculating tariffs and selecting the most cost-effective clearance procedures for clients.
- Using port inventory systems such as CNS and Destin8.
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders (customers, HMRC, Port Health, etc.).
- Managing records, certificates, databases, and invoicing with accuracy and professionalism.
- Supporting special projects and helping colleagues as needed.
Work Pattern:
3 weeks of 08:00-17:00, 1 week of 11:00-19:00, 1 weekend in 4 (Saturday 8 hours, Sunday 4 hours paid as overtime).
