For Companies Baker Charles are currently working with a growing consumer business who are looking to hire a Senior Finance Manager to join the team. As Senior Finance Manager, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations while supporting strategic decision-making as the company grows. This is a hands-on and commercially focused role, suited to someone with strong financial and management accounting experience, ideally gained in a fast-paced or scaling business.
You’ll work closely with leadership across the business, providing financial insight, driving efficiency, and helping shape our financial future.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all core finance operations, including AP, AR, payroll, and bank reconciliations
- Lead the month-end close process and produce management accounts with commentary
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow statements
- Support strategic planning, investment analysis, and KPI tracking
- Implement and improve internal controls, processes, and financial systems
- Manage external audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements
- Business partner with department heads to support commercial decisions
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on financial performance
- Support the CFO with board reporting and funding/investor requirements
About You
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- 3–5+ years\’ post-qualification experience in a finance role, ideally within a high-growth consumer business
- Strong understanding of financial operations, reporting, and analysis
- Confident using financial systems (Xero, NetSuite, or similar) and Excel/Google Sheets
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving ability
- Proactive, organised, and able to thrive in a fast-changing environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
