Job Description
Are you a passionate Principal Designer seeking a new role in 2025? We’re working with a nationally recognised multidisciplinary consultancy to recruit an experienced Principal Designer for their Manchester-based team.
This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work between home and their Manchester office, with travel to project sites as required.
With an impressive portfolio of UK-wide projects, this is an opportunity to collaborate with industry leaders and make a real impact in the built environment sector.
Principal Designer Role:
- Principal Designer on diverse construction projects, ensuring full compliance with CDM 2015 regulations.
- Advise clients, designers, and contractors on health and safety considerations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee pre-construction health and safety coordination, driving best practices across all teams.
- Conduct detailed design risk assessments, eliminating or reducing hazards at the earliest stages.
- Prepare and maintain project health and safety documentation, including health and safety files.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with project stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
Principal Designer Requirements:
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate
- APS Membership
- At least 1 year of experience in a Principal Designer role
- A design qualification is desirable.
In Return:
- £50,000 – £65,000 DOE + Package
- Travel and mileage expenses covered
