As a Communications and PR Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Develop and execute communications and PR strategies aligned with company goals.
- Create and oversee content: press releases, blogs, newsletters, and Op-eds.
- Build and maintain relationships with media, franchisees, and stakeholders.
- Lead sector-related political campaigns and enhance brand visibility.
- Manage key messages and crisis communications.
- Source and manage media opportunities to enhance brand visibility.
- Prepare key spokespeople from across the network to be confident to participate in media interviews / opportunities. To include coaching sessions and briefing packs.
- Oversee reviews, internal communications, and CEO/Director social media.
- Advise on sector news and government reforms, crafting timely responses.
- Quality assurance of internal and external messaging.
- Collaborate with National Office teams including marketing department.
- Evaluate PR effectiveness and report outcomes.
- Travel occasionally for coaching, workshops, and events (expenses covered).
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A qualification in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in communications and PR.
- Proven success in boosting brand image with strong media contacts.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mindset with a flair for producing engaging content.
- Up-to-date knowledge of communications trends, including digital and social media.
- Strategic thinker with expertise in planning and evaluating campaigns.
- Collaborative, proactive, and able to work independently under pressure.
