Your Role
As a Senior Engineer, you’ll lead the full lifecycle of earthing design projects from inception through to completion. You’ll be a trusted technical expert, working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and delivering technically demanding HV earthing projects independently
- Managing client relationships and ensuring project delivery is aligned with technical and commercial expectations
- Mentoring and supporting Design, Assistant and Graduate Engineers
- Conducting advanced earthing studies using CDEGS software (MALZ, MALT, RESAP, HI-FREQ, FCDIST, TRALIN)
- Leading site-based engineering assessments and investigations
- Reviewing and authorising reports and drawings, offering high-level feedback
- Chairing design meetings with internal teams and external clients
- Advising on complex studies including impressed voltage and lightning protection assessments

- Demonstrable experience in HV earthing design, ideally in the power or utilities sector
- Strong working knowledge of the CDEGS suite and complex earthing assessment methods
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust with clients and colleagues alike
- Proven ability to lead technical design teams and support project delivery end-to-end
- A hands-on, proactive attitude and a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions
