Department overview:

Working as part of the CIO Chief of Staff and Corporate Communications teams, you’ll lead on internal communication strategy and execution for the CIO function, ensuring its employees are engaged with the strategy and leadership agenda as well as driving the quality and alignment of communications to the wider Nomura.

Role description:

  • Delivering a range of communications activities (such as leadership calls, vlogs, emails and townhalls) for the CIO and his senior team to include messaging, content creation and logistics
  • Developing and reviewing communications from CIO to the wider Nomura around topics including outages/maintenance and cybersecurity culture
  • Attending CIO executive committee meetings and providing effective communications advice to the members
  • Supporting the delivery of the CIO external communications strategy, working with the media relations team
  • Working with colleagues across the business and the Corporate Communications team to ensure communications are effective and joined up

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

We’re looking for someone with strong experience of working with senior leaders and the ability to be equally at home developing the strategy and creating the content and managing the logistics to deliver it.

You will need to demonstrate that you have experience of navigating and achieving success in complex matrix organisations, ideally in the financial services sector.

You’ll also demonstrate:

  • A strong grasp of, and interest in, technology
  • Knowledge of internal communications measurement
