Job description:
- Animated training and explainer videos are essential to our digital learning solutions – helping learners quickly understand complex topics.
- We’re looking for a talented 2D and 3D animator to join our growing team and help us create engaging animated videos for a range of exciting clients.
- You’ll be responsible for developing visual styles that reflect our client’s brands and then bringing videos to life with expert character, motion graphics, and 3D animation.
Your day-to-day:
- Attending client briefings and creative meetings (occasionally outside normal UK working hours).
- Developing style frames and artwork for a range of 2D, 3D and motion graphics projects that reflect our client’s requirements and brand guidelines.
- Creating full-artwork storyboards and managing the review process with clients.
- Creating 3D models of our clients’ products, environments and other assets.
- Providing expert animation across a range of videos, including character, 2D, 3D and motion graphics animation.
- Managing the delivery of multiple animation projects and ensuring we meet deadlines.
- Providing quality control and day-to-day management of freelance illustrators, animators and other experts supporting our projects.
- Delighting our clients with shorter video snippets for them to share on internal communication channels.
- Supporting other client and internal projects and marketing activities with your illustration and animation expertise.
- Constantly looking for new ways to delight our clients and their audiences.
What you bring to the team:
- A passion for learning and a friendly, enthusiastic and trustworthy approach when dealing with clients and colleagues.
- The ability to generate creative ideas quickly and clearly and produce high-quality illustrations and designs in various visual styles.
- Expert animation skills in a range of different animation styles – including motion graphics, character animation and 3D animation.
- Strong project management and communication skills and a deep understanding of the animation production process, industries, and the latest trends.
- Technical mastery in Adobe Creative Suite (esp. Illustrator and After Effects) and proficiency in using Cinema4D and Redshift to create 3D designs and 3D models.
- Flexibility in working hours when meeting with NZ-based team members and clients outside the UK.
