GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a highly successful and well-known manufacturing business located in Pershore. We are currently recruiting for a Design Engineer/Draftsperson to join their team on a full time, permanent contract.
You will be joining a group of professionals who are innovative, dedicated and driven by a shared vision. This position is working Monday - Friday 08:00am - 16:30pm offering a salary of up to £40,000 pending relevant experience.
The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will be confident in their engineering knowledge and must be able to independently work on varied and interesting design tasks within the business. This includes designing complete assemblies, sub-assemblies and parts modifications. You will be drafting high quality and accurate 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor / Vault software packages.
To be considered candidates will demonstrate a technical, mechanical or automation background.
Mechanical Design Engineer main duties:- Production of mechanical CAD drawings based on a technical brief.
- Ensuring drawings / parts lists are accurate and meet the required standards.
- Creation of Parts Lists and the transfer of data into our MRP system.
- Meeting agreed deadlines.
- Contributing solutions and ideas to solve technical engineering problems.
- Occasionally attending site visits to collect information.
- Previous design engineer/Draftsperson with a technical, mechanical or automation background.
- Experience with 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor / Vault software packages.
- Methodical thinker and ability to work in an organised way.
- Recognised engineering qualification.
- Relevant experience in a similar role with references.
- Excellent English with proficient communication skills.
- Ability to professionally liaise with suppliers.
