Job Summary:

We are looking for Trunk Asset Maintenance Inspectors (internal job title) to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of trunk assets within the water network. The successful candidate will have experience in asset management and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of water processes. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of trunk assets to ensure they are operating effectively and within regulatory standards
  • Develop and implement strategies for maintaining and improving trunk assets
  • Identify potential risks or issues related to trunk assets and develop plans to mitigate them
  • Monitor performance metrics related to trunk asset maintenance and identify areas for improvement
  • Communicate regularly with other departments within the organization to coordinate efforts related to trunk asset maintenance

Knowledge / Experience:

  • Knowledge of water distribution networks
  • Good inter-personal skills to develop relationships with internal and external customers
  • Deliver work by planning, tracking, gathering, and maintaining data/information
  • You will be relied on to use your own initiative, be well organised and be able to balance delivering a range of tasks.
  • Confidence using information technology and computer systems is essential, Microsoft software; database/asset management experience is advantageous.
  • A basic knowledge of Asset Management is helpful
  • The drive and ability to work independently and/or within a team while delivering results.
  • Willing to receive training to keep you safe, use our systems and become acquainted with our processes skills.
  • A clean UK driving license is essential for this role.

Please note you will be required to be outside in all seasons and weather conditions; many of our assets are off the beaten track and you need to be confident to work alone (when necessary) in a safe manner in line with company standards.
