Salary: £28,168 - £39,244 per annum, pro rata (Academic Grade 4 13) (Dependant on skills, qualifications and experience)

Job Type: Permanent, Part Time 22.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

The Role:

In this role, you will:

  • Teach across a range of Travel & Tourism courses, including units such as customer service, aviation operations, sustainable tourism, events, and global destinations.
  • Create dynamic, interactive lessons that reflect current industry trends and employer expectations.
  • Support learners in developing professional and personal skills that prepare them for successful careers.
  • Take part in curriculum development, student enrichment activities, and community or industry partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging curriculum content in travel and tourism subjects.
  • Foster a stimulating learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students to ensure their holistic development.
  • Contribute to the design and assessment of course modules, ensuring alignment with industry standards and educational goals.
  • Actively participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other college-wide initiatives.

You:

The ideal candidate will hold:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Travel & Tourism or a related field.
  • Previous teaching experience in higher education or vocational training settings preferred.
  • A teaching qualification (or a willingness to work towards one).
  • Industry experience and/or recognised professional qualifications would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
  • Enthusiasm for innovation in teaching methods and curriculum development.
