The opportunity: Global Talent 2020 are proudly working with one of Scotland's award-winning and fastest-growing restaurant and bar operators. They are looking for a driven F&B orientated restaurant and bar General Manager to join their expanding company during a period of sustained growth. This boutique venue has great appeal with its seaside location and loyal customer base, offering great all year-round trade opportunities at this popular site.

The role: Global Talent 2020's client will require the General Manager to support the business in leading the young team across the venue. You will be responsible for all front and back of house operations. This well-appointed food & drink concept would be an ideal step up for a focused Deputy GM candidate looking to make their mark as a GM. This is a hands-on operational opportunity, driving wet/dry services. You will need to be very comfortable being customer-facing, led by empowering your team while creating a memorable customer journey. You must possess an eye for detail and exhibit sound commercial nous, especially with knowing your way around a P&L. Additionally, you should be knowledgeable about cellar management, stock ordering processes, and cost controls. You will manage the diverse staff across all areas as required through your team of HODs. Showcasing an understanding of health & safety, training & development of your team, as well as possessing first-class communication skills, are prerequisites for this fast-paced role with our ambitious growing client.

The person: Our client at Global Talent 2020 is looking for a positive, approachable leader who is well-organised and driven commercially to achieve. This is a multi-tasking role in an amazingly presented environment, so it will need someone used to leading by example in an operation at all times. A quality understanding of all areas of volume bar and restaurant operations is a key skill set required.
