Lead the future of fire safety in a high-impact infrastructure environment. We’re looking for an experienced, forward-thinking Fire Safety Manager to champion the development and delivery of a robust fire safety framework across complex operational sites. You’ll play a vital role in minimising fire risk, enhancing resilience, and cultivating a proactive safety culture. This is a newly created position, with plenty of scope to make an impact and leave a lasting legacy on the organisation.
What you'll be doing:
- Deliver a fire safety strategy aligned with zero-harm values and the wider HSW vision.
- Ensure compliance with UK fire safety legislation and industry standards.
- Embed a comprehensive Fire Safety Management System and lead site audits and assurance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to integrate fire safety from design through operation.
- Working in close collaboration with the Fire Safety Advisor.
What you should bring:
- Essential: Diploma/ degree level qualification in Fire Safety/ Fire Engineering or Fire Science; fire risk management experience in complex, multi-site environments; sound knowledge of UK fire regulations.
- Desired: Chartered membership (e.g., IOSH, IFE); experience with COMAH/high-hazard sites; HOP certification or strong familiarity.
- Clear communication, leadership, and the ability to drive continuous improvement.
