Buckden Partners has been mandated by one of the largest bridging lenders in the UK to support them in the search for an Underwriting Manager. In this role you will manage a team of 6 underwriters covering regulated and unregulated bridging and the Case Management Team Lead who has a team of 4. Reporting into the Head of Credit, your responsibilities will cover:

  • Management of underwriting team to ensure delivery of business objectives in an efficient manner.
  • Ensure all underwriting decisioning is carried out in accordance with the company’s credit risk appetite.
  • Examine the commercial viability of each application.
  • Oversee the underwriting of all loans up to disbursement.
  • Delegate applications for underwriting appropriately and proportionately.
  • Responsible for final credit sign-off of each application.
