Join Müller – Where Your Leadership Drives Success at the Droitwich Depot (WR9 0LW). We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Transport Shift Manager to lead by example, coach and develop your team, and drive continuous improvement across our transport operations.
Location: Droitwich Depot (WR9 OLW)
Contract: Full time / Permanent
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off PM (1800 – 0600)
Transport Shift Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead your team to deliver OGSM (Objectives, Goals, Strategies, Measures) targets.
- Drive operational excellence through KPI management, DOR (Daily Operations Review), and performance coaching.
- Manage people effectively, including performance reviews, development plans, and employee relations.
- Champion health and safety, leading investigations and promoting a strong safety culture.
- Ensure legal and audit compliance across shift operations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve business performance.
- Act as the escalation point for customer service issues.
- Promote and embed MMID behaviours and succession planning.
What you bring to the role:
- Proven experience in a transport or logistics leadership role.
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for coaching and team development.
- A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Solid understanding of HGV operations (HGV driving experience required).
- Desirable: CPC in Transport Management and a Class 1 (C+E) license.
