We are currently recruiting for a warehouse operative for our client based in Colnbrook on a 4 on 4 off permanent basis.
4 on 4 off - 4 Days or 4 on 4 off Nights 06:00-18:00 & 18:00-06:00
£27,000 + £2000 shift allowance + X-ray allowance £500
DUTIES & PERFORMANCE:
- Preparing shipments for export (checking manifests / loading / building of export ULD’s)
- Breaking down and checking in import shipments (loose and ULD’s)
- Carrying out regular Quality checks (freight on hand etc.)
- Driving electric counterbalance (3,000kg), diesel counterbalance (12,000kg) and electric reach forklift trucks (1,500kg)
- General warehouse duties
- Be responsible to maintain the highest level of cleanliness, Health & Safety & Aviation Security
- Control hazardous substances in the area in accordance with EU/EK legislation
- Work within a Temperature controlled zone in accordance with GDP legislation
- Any other reasonable duties, which may be required by the warehouse manager & Team Leader
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Previous airfreight handling experience desirable, preferably within a major freight-forwarding concern
- Reach / counterbalance forklift licences
- Aviation Security Level CO
- X-Ray & ETD (Training will be supplied)
- Knowledge of Import and Export warehouse procedures
- Airfreight industry
- HMRC Brokerage Systems
- WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
This role will require manual handling as we handle Fish & Perishables - 15 - 20 builds a day.
