This role sits within a central Risk and Compliance function of a professional services firm, supporting firmwide regulatory compliance (focusing on audit, ethics, and enterprise risk management). It includes advisory, monitoring, policy development, and internal training responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support tasks related to ISQM (UK) 1, ethical standards, and compliance monitoring.
- Prepare internal reports and manage external regulatory visits.
- Provide guidance to client-facing teams on compliance and ethics matters.
- Draft policies, internal communications, and maintain intranet content.
- Support firmwide training and strategic risk initiatives.
- Conduct targeted compliance reviews.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (or equivalent) with audit or professional ethics/compliance experience.
- Strong understanding of ICAEW Code of Ethics, FRC Ethical Standard, ISQM (UK) 1.
- Skilled in interpreting regulations, risk assessment, and policy implementation.
- Effective communicator with strong analytical and organisational skills.
Desirable Knowledge:
