A leading Educational Managed Service Provider (MSP) is currently seeking an IT Manager to support one of its partner schools in Westminster. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about technology and delivering excellent customer service in a dynamic school environment.

The ideal candidate will have a natural aptitude for IT, a strong desire to learn, and a drive to provide outstanding technical support within an educational setting.

About the Role:

As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the management, installation, maintenance, availability, and security of the school’s curriculum and administrative IT networks. This includes both hardware and software infrastructure. You will work closely with the school’s Senior Leadership Team to support the development of the school’s IT systems and contribute to the planning and implementation of IT projects.

Your role will be central in ensuring that the school’s ICT network supports effective teaching and learning, and remains secure and reliable. You will also act as a key point of contact between the school and the wider MSP team, ensuring strong communication and alignment with the company’s service values and offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing the school’s network infrastructure and ICT-based applications.
  • Monitoring and maintaining all key systems, including switches, virtual and physical server environments, Microsoft 365, and backup solutions.
  • Providing technical advice, training, and support to staff to help them use systems effectively.
  • Overseeing day-to-day IT operations, ensuring requests are handled efficiently.
  • Acting as the second/third line of technical support.
  • Line managing and supporting on-site ICT support staff.
  • Ensuring IT policies and practices align with school policies and safeguarding standards.
  • Delivering training sessions for staff to promote IT confidence and capability.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in a similar role (e.g., IT Manager, Network Manager, or Senior ICT Consultant), ideally within a school or education setting.
  • A strong understanding of the specific needs and responsibilities of supporting IT in a school environment.
  • Experience in managing or upgrading school IT networks.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a collaborative mindset and a problem-solving approach.
