Our client based in Basildon is looking for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join their growing team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate for this role will have previous HGV Class 2 driving experience, excellent communication skills, a solid work history with no gaps and a strong work ethic.
As the HGV Class 2 Driver you will be driving commercial vehicles for the purpose of collecting and delivering freight goods, so experience of Groupage, multidrop and pickup is essential.
Duties will include:
- Multi Drop/Pickup
- Some Tail lift pickup and collection
- Ensuring that all loads are checked for discrepancies (damage/shortages etc) and are safely loaded and secured on the vehicle
- Daily maintenance checks on the vehicle you have been assigned to
- Ensuring that all records pertaining to the role (Tacho's, Time sheets, Trip sheets etc.) are kept in a timely and appropriate manner.
Geographical coverage is all areas of London and the Southeast. Working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, normal start time is 6am although some flexibility on this will be needed depending on the workload.
