Grafton Banks Finance is exclusively assisting a very successful and rapidly expanding, PE backed SME near Bexhill, (hybrid with 2-3 days remote working per week), with the recruitment of a Financial Controller. The role reports to the CFO and manages a team of finance staff and takes responsibility for all aspects of accounts. It’s a hands on, yet commercial role including involvement in M&A activity and will gradually take on more and more responsibility from the CFO over time.
Key areas of responsibility include:

Preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts for all Group companies and business units with insightful variance analysis and narrative reporting

Manage the preparation of Statutory Accounts and act as relationship manager for external auditors and accountants

Line management and development of the Finance team

Development of finance systems, processes, and controls

Preparation of rolling cashflow forecasts and variance analysis

Lead role in the preparation of detailed annual budgets and quarterly forecasts

Support the CFO in the analysis of M&A targets, M&A process, and subsequent integration

Develop strong relationships with non-finance Business Unit Directors and Managers to effectively convey financial information
