Due to growth, a FMCG business on the outskirts of Harrogate is recruiting for a commercially minded Management Accountant to support their Finance Director. This is a crucial role in managing the business’ finance and helping make informed commercial decisions. You will prepare management accounts, factory reporting and variance analysis, manage and support the accounts assistant and assist with budgeting and forecasting. You will also ensure accurate and efficient processing of weekly and monthly payroll. This is an office based position.
Duties:
- Management of Invoice Factoring facility
- Variance analysis & discrepancies investigation
- Processing of Weekly and Monthly Payroll
- Daily, weekly & monthly Management Reporting
- Balance sheet reconciliations & supporting schedules
- Maintain & Update fixed asset register
- Preparation of the monthly management accounts
- Support the Finance Director with the preparation of year end statutory accounts & R&D submissions
- KPI reporting
- Cash flow forecasting
- Support with budgeting & Forecasting Processes
- Ensure compliance with internal controls & company policies
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar role within finance or accounting
- Ideally ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, qualified by experience can also be considered
- Strong knowledge of month-end process and ledger management principles
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Due to the rural location, own transport is required to commute to the offices.
The offices are commutable from Skipton, Ripon, Harrogate, Nidderdale including Pateley Bridge, Otley, Ilkley and North Leeds.
