Part-time Group Financial Accountant

A unique opportunity has arisen for a technically strong, hands-on Group Financial Accountant to join the Group Finance team of an international group undergoing a significant strategic transformation. This role has now been opened to part-time or full-time.

As the business pivots to focus on their high growth markets, the finance function is playing a critical role in managing complexity, driving accurate reporting, and supporting the execution of business disposals.

You’ll play a pivotal part in steering the Group’s financial reporting through a complex period of change.

• Salary: £65K-£75K (depending on experience)
• Permanent Full time or Part-time ( 4 days per week)
• Hybrid working: 3 days office based and (1 day WFH or 2 days if full-time)
• Location: Crawley

Main responsibilities include:

• Assist with multi-currency group consolidations across monthly, half-year, and year-end cycles
• Group’s statutory financial reporting (interims and full-year accounts)
• Liaise with external auditors and support audit processes
• Ensure Group compliance with IFRS and lead on technical accounting matters
• Oversee financial aspects of business disposals as they occur
• Lead accounting for group-level items such as goodwill, impairments, leases (IFRS 16), and share-based payments

Essential skills/experience required:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA/ICAS/CA(SA) or (CA ANZ) qualified, ideally Audit trained
• Technically strong with excellent IFRS knowledge
• Experience of group consolidation in a complex, multi-currency environment
• Familiarity with consolidation tools
• Proactive, detail-oriented and confident in managing complex reporting requirements
